Outline

• Create a pictographic illustration

Description
We are going to communicate with alien species in outer space. We want to display in the most simplest way three things that represent the human race. It is important to note that we should assume that these life forms are unable to tell what we are trying to convey, therefore the most simplistic way possible will be the right way.

It needs to show everything that the human race is about.
A few ideas that we are interested in but not limited to are;

• Peace
• Love
• Friendship
• Unity
• The earth
• Our living conditions

 These images must be 6x6 inches and viewable on a small mobile device.

Style and Examples

 

Text
Because this is for people who cannot read or write, there is to be no text at all. It should just display where we are in the universe and what our plant has to offer.

Deadline
The project needs to be completed before 30th of June 2011. 
There is to be no extensions.

Payments and Managment
The project manager will be Luke, he can be contacted via e-mail or telephone.
All payments will be made in stages and once the final product is submitted all payments will have been made.
 
 

Stereotypes

I chose to do my Social assignment on Stereotypes. The bars are to represent the shackles that society faces in labeling people as a stereotype.

Animation

Today we used animation to move the letterds TRASH.
This was easy, all i did was to make a layer for each of the letters and open the timeline in the view menu. From there you just move the letters around.

3D Numbers

Today we did numbers in 3d.
I used 3D effects with shadow to make it appear 3d

Rubbish font

I decided to stay with the idea of using food as my rubbish font, insted of twisties i used nutrigrain. I did this because rubbish to me can also refer to junk food/fast  foods.
I took 5 photos of the letters L U K E S.
This is how it has turned out

I used three layers, The background and background copy with brushstroke effects. I just wanted something basic and easy to look at.
With the letters layer i had 5 different layers. I then merged them.
This is a screenshot of the layers.

Next we will be working on an album cover.

Faces

Another quick photoshop experiment with opacity and transparency with faces blending into mountains and water.

I took the images from google typing in faces and mountain.

Toast Tower

Today in Visual design i created this Toast tower

I used photoshop to add layers, drop shadow effect and brightness/contrast. I obtained all the images through google and was able to alter the size, and shape of the toast.

I created 9 layers in this image.

I found this on the internet, someone has made the alphabet out of Pretzels. I want to try and make it out of some kind of food. Im thinking maybe twistys. I will try it out and post it.
